2020 South Carolina Rural Recruitment Initiative Teacher Expo (Participant Registration)

The 2020 South Carolina Rural Recruitment Initiative Teacher Expo will be held on Friday, May 29, 2020 at the South Carolina State Fairgrounds (Ellison Building) in Columbia, SC. The South Carolina Rural Recruitment Initiative Teacher Expo is open to certified teachers, recent college graduates of teacher education programs, and applicants who have applied to and met admission criteria for an approved alternative certification program in South Carolina. This year's Expo is open to all subject areas.

PLEASE NOTE THAT 10AM-12:00PM IS SET ASIDE FOR PARTICIPANTS TO VISIT DISTRICT BOOTHS. THE AFTERNOON IS RESERVED FOR INTERVIEWS THAT WILL BE SCHEDULED WHEN YOU VISIT WITH DISTRICTS IN THE MORNING. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO VISIT BOOTHS AFTER 12:00PM UNLESS YOU HAVE A SCHEDULED INTERVIEW.

We encourage you to complete the South Carolina Online Employment Application prior to attending the Expo.

Schedule (All events take place in the Ellison Building.)

• 9:30 - 10:00 - Participant check-in

• 10:00 - 12:00 - Participants visit district booths. Interviews scheduled

• 12:00 - 12:30 - Lunch break (Lunch is not provided for participants.)

• 12:30 - 3:00 - Pre-scheduled interviews

Important Notes

• Enter the fairgrounds through Gate #6 off of George Roger Blvd.
• Check-in will take place in the front of the Ellison Building.
• You will be given a blank nametag when you check in. Please bring a pen or marker to complete your nametag.
• Lunch is not provided to participants.
• Wi-Fi will be available, but power outlets will be limited.
• There are no copiers on site. You must prepare copies before coming.
• Spouses, children, and friends will not be allowed to enter the Expo with you.
